Summing up the results of the XIII International online conference "TURKMENTEL-2020"

On November 24-25, the XIII International Online Conference on the Digital economy and Innovative Technologies of Turkmenistan "Turkmentel-2020" was held in the Turkmen capital, organized by the Agency of Turkmenistan "Turkmenaragatnashyk" and "Summit Conferences" (Great Britain). The general sponsor of the conference was the Transnational Corporation Nokia. Representatives of various institutions of the "Turkmenaragatnashyk" Agency took part in the conference from the Turkmen side: the State Telecommunication Corporation "Turkmen Telecom", the space Department of the Agency "Turkmenaragatnashyk", CJSC "Altyn Asyr" and "Turkmen Khemrasy", the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan. Among the foreign participants are representatives of Nokia, Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, Thales Alenia Spaces, the European Institute of Telecommunications Standards, the International Telecommunication Union, the Association of Space Operators of the EMEA region, as well as "Azertelecom" LLC, "Rostelecom" PJSC, "Delta Telecom" company, "East Wind" company, ICANN Corporation, BI.ZONE, RIPE NCC, NTT DATA Romania S.A. The conference was held in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, representatives of foreign companies participated online. During the two days of the conference, a wide range of issues on the development of innovative technologies in the field of communications were discussed. So, during the first two sessions, reports were made on the prospects for the development of satellite communications in the context of sustainable regional cooperation, as well as the work of the first Turkmen satellite "TurkmenAlem" and the possibility of launching other domestic satellites. The second day of the conference was devoted to discussing the development of mobile and fixed communications, as well as ensuring cybersecurity and joint counteraction to threats. The sponsors of each of the conference sessions were "Turkmen Khemrasy", Nokia, Monaco SAT and NTT DATA. The foreign participants noted the high organizational level of the "Turkmentel-2020" conference, in particular, the role of "Turkmen Telecom" STC, which provided equipment and provided the conference with Internet connection. The participants also expressed hope for further cooperation and exchange of experience in the development of modern means of communication.
