China is invited to join the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey transport corridor

As nCa reports, this was said at a meeting between the chairman of the board of shareholders of Uzbekdemirellari, Zufar Narzullaev, and the chairman of the board of Chinese State Railways, Gu Shuhui, in Beijing last week. It is also proposed to jointly increase the capacity of this corridor.

In November 2023, a corresponding Memorandum on the creation of an international multimodal transport corridor between Asia and Europe along the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey transport corridor was signed in Tashkent.

This document provides for the organization of cargo transportation from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region to the countries of the European Union through Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran and Turkey.
