On February 7, early presidential elections are being held in Azerbaijan. In Turkmenistan, citizens of Azerbaijan can vote for a candidate for the highest government post at the country's embassy in Ashgabat, at polling station number 48.
There is a high turnout at the polling station, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan Gismet Fizuli oglu Gezalov told Turkmenportal.
According to the diplomat, the polling station opened on Wednesday at 08:00 local time and will remain open until 19:00 in the evening.
All citizens of Azerbaijan who have reached the age of 18, permanently or temporarily residing in Turkmenistan, as well as those on a long-term business trip or visit can exercise the right to vote.
