US President Joseph Biden sent a congratulatory message to Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence.
In particular, the message states the following:
“Dear Mr. President!
On behalf of the people of the United States of America, I extend my best wishes to you and the Turkmen people as you celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. Today, as always, the United States supports your country's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence.
In the spirit of strong partnership, Turkmenistan and the United States are building a better future for our people and people around the world. Our countries are working together to reduce methane emissions, a major contributor to climate change. We are also collaborating to promote sustainable and equitable labor and agricultural practices.
“I was pleased to meet you and the leaders of other Central Asian states at the first “G5+1” summit of our Presidents last year. I sincerely hope that in the coming year we will achieve even greater success in advancing our common priorities. I wish you and all the Turkmen people a joyful celebration of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day”.
