A conference dedicated to Magtymguly Fragi was held at the Turkmenaragatnashyk agency

Today, February 23, the Turkmenaragatnashyk agency hosted a conference dedicated to sayings, proverbs and wise lines from the works of Magtymguly Fragi, which are deeply rooted in the hearts of the Turkmen people.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, law enforcement agencies, the Democratic Party, a number of ministries and departments of the country, as well as specialists from the Turkmenaragatnashyk agency.

Speakers at the conference spoke about the influence of the poet’s work on the development of the Turkmen language and literature, Turkmen national identity and statehood, as well as his contribution to the treasury of universal spiritual values.

Also during the event, participants noted that large-scale work is being carried out in Turkmenistan to popularize the work of the poet and thinker in the international arena. In connection with this, various forums, conferences and meetings dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly will be held this year, which are aimed at further developing and strengthening international cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

It was especially emphasized that evidence of the world recognition of Magtymguly’s work is the declaration by TURKSOY of this year - “The Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world - Magtymguly Fragi.”
